Normal Indoor Environment
Normal fungal ecology - may have settled spores, fungal fragments or traces of actual growth reflective of a normal indoor environment
Characteristics:
- May contain settled spores and fungal fragments typical of the environment
- Fungal presence reflects normal ecology for similar indoor spaces
- Represents the baseline target condition for remediation
- No unusual sources of indoor fungal amplification present
Condition 2
Isolated Growth Areas
Settled spores - contaminated with settled spores dispersed from Condition 3 areas, may include airborne contamination
Characteristics:
- Contaminated with settled spores from Condition 3 areas
- May include airborne spores and fungal fragments
- Can contain mycotoxins and extracellular metabolites (ECM)
- Requires analytical methods for proper assessment and confirmation
